2002/2003 : Liverpool won 3-2 ( Baros x 2 , Heskey )

2003/2004 : Liverpool / Bolton drew 2-2 ( Gerrard , Hyypia )

Poolman SG

El Hadji Diouf NOT allowed to play against his old club ! Laughing

Medicated Oil SG

What a lousy and KiaSu clause in his contract.

Hope he can play well and score lots of goals to redeem himself.

Liverpool can work with another lethal striker.

I am sure we will prevailed in this match. Hopefully Alfonso will provide us a new dimension in our attack. I have very high hopes for Liverpool. Exciting football times for us. Very Happy

frOst^~^nOva SG

errr think it alonso, not alfonso. Mr. Green but seriously i want to see whether alonso and garcia would bring a new dimension to liverpool's play Wink

soccerfreak SG

Its not the contract clause that is stopping Diouf from playing against Liverpool. Its a new FA ruling.

Besides,Diouf is not fit and we won't see him in action for Bolton till abt 4 weeks later. Laughing

Poolman SG

Even if Diouf is allowed to play against his old club , I'm so sure our defenders can take care of him !

And.......even when no one touch him , he'll likely to trip .... and roll ...... in agony !!!!

Predictions:

Liverpool to win by the odd goal! Razz

Medicated Oil SG

Bolton 2 - Liverpool 2

Dun see any wonder in Liverpool since they play badly in midweek.

BeNo SG

frOst^~^nOva SG

liverpool are playing like crap... sigh Crying or Very sad

Goondu74 SG

that was not offside!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111

Airbus330Captain SG

12 vs 11 , liverpool game. The referees or linemens in recent games have been making dreadful decisions . The goal in this game should have been allowed. I wonder. Frankly speaking , a disappointing performance again. I wonder when will the team start performing.

soccerfreak SG

It was a terrible performance.Totally unco-ordinated.There was no shape in midfield.Playing Gerrard on the right is suicide.

Benitez needs to be more ruthless.Drop Hamann.Please.He is the problem with the Liverpool team.Hamann does not push forward enough. That leaves the liverpool midfield outnumbered in the middle. And because of that, they cant keep possession at all. They are like defending the whole game throughout.WTF?!?!?!

Luis Garcia had a good game.He was the only spark in the team. That goal was not offside. The referees these days really cannot make it.

Drop Hamann.Pair Gerrard and Alonso in the middle and things will be better for sure. And please do not waste a force like Gerrard by playing him on the right.Gerrard belongs to the middle. Exclamation

Poolman SG

Gerrard don't play well , Liverpool don't play well !

Unlucky at times , 'bout that off-side decision and Hyypia taken off for a broken nose !!

Wondering if Hyypia is playing , will that Bolton goal arrive ?

Why those long balls again ? Crying or Very sad

Garcia & Alonso did fairly well , considering it's their first game in England , suffered some knocks at times , that's English football la Xabi !

Josemi was a bit off colour tonight , well I thought Pedersen got passed him too easily !

Two defeats in a row for Benitez , got some work to do !

Let's be patience , the lad will learn , a bit through the hard way i guess !

Goondu74 SG

as i mentioned in an earlier thread, if liverpool suffers any injuries, they will be left with the bare minimum. Now Hyppia and Kewell also out , see Ben still want to buy or not.

Poolman SG

Kewell was dropped for this game , right ?

Why was Kewell dropped ? 'Cos he had a really terrible game against Man City , that's why !

I will not be surprise if Hamman is drop for the next game , let's Benitez experiment the new team , be patient !

Baros & Cisse is a new pair of combination , it will be a miracle if both click so soon !

Midfield wise is even worst , totally new set-up , needs a few more game to gel !

Again , let's be patience , in time when they're gel as a team , the fruits will arrive !

Poolman SG

Traore is not the solution for Hyypia replacement !

Let's try out Henchoz and Carragher for the next game !

I have more faith with henchoz than Traore !

You hear that Rafa ? Mad

Goondu74 SG

Kewell was not dropped, he is injured! But dunno what injury, the commentator say one

changed coach liao. no more coach to blame liao.

now blame who?

somehow, i got this feeling that liverpool is easiest favourite to the eyes of all opponents.

this "favourite" never seems to display any form of fear to the seemingly easiest opponent. the other team can have four stagnant defenders in front of their keeper, yet containing 11 liverpool players within their own half.

on top of that, i also notice that the opponent's tactic against liverpool is always one kind. pressure, pressure and pressure. make them lose the ball. if liverpool is on the break, just do a simple foul to frustrate their momentum without even earning a yellow card.

easy meat.
