SMD SG I also do not think that we would win it this year..anyway..let's c any more new signing coming in 1st a not.. But think this is a good start lah..I only hope we can start to play good football again..once that is consistence..I guess the rewards will come...
Goondu74 SG i dun have high hopes of pool winning too, unless they start bringing in some new faces and discard trash like Diao and Biscan. But i dun know where the money is coming from after they buy Cisse. The appointment of Benitez was abit late because all the free transfers are snapped up already….. now i think only Kluivert is available on a free.
kpo SG ... no, i don't think so ... but i wouldn't mind one bit if we win it ... i'd be happy with 3rd or 4th for the new season ... i'm confident we'll close the gap between us and arsenal ... actually i'm happy to give ah ben 5 yrs like houllier's been given ... personally i feel we still need 2-3 good defenders and some creative midfielders ... ... though chelski has now become one of my most disliked clubs, i'm sure they'll be up there challenging for the epl ... i've got nothing against mourinho (i'm actually impressed by him) but that mafia disgusts me ... looking forward to their 1st match against man u ... ... the gunners will be tough to beat again ... besides needing a fit henry, an area i feel they're short of cover is central defence ... getting a successor for campbell may cause wenger's face to become even more wrinkled ... ... team to watch: birmingham ... i think steve bruce has made some very interesting signings ... the latest being melchiot and gronkjaer ... i think heskey will play much better under bruce ... ... boro have caught my eye since bryan robson brought juninho, ravanelli and others to the riverside ... have under performed big time if u ask me ... hasselbaink and viduka should solve their inability to get goals last season ... they're still after a midfielder and are linked with butt and hargraves ... if they manage to get geremi back they'll be even harder to beat ... bring on the new season!
Wes Br0wn SG Sounds familiar ... you guys said the same thing when Gerald Houllier took over from Roy Evans some years ago
Goondu74 SG GH was not that bad in the beginning but did u noticed that Liverpool’s luck in matches were very bad after GH returned from his life saving sugery? remember there was this 1 game against sunderland where they had over 22 shots at goal and hit the bar/posts about 3 times and could not score, sunderland had 1 shot and it went in. i was pretty sure there were a few more games like this. What i am trying to say is that GH probably used up his quota of luck in that fateful sugery, it saved his life but not enough to save his job. I hope the the change in manager will wipe the slate clean, Liverpool boleh!
Medicated Oil SG Although GH sucks for the last two season, he have helped Liverpool to beat Manchester United and Arsenal for his first three season. I agreed that his first three season is good due to his selection of certain key players. But, he is the cause of the his own downfall. Strange enough, he is still the manager of the Decade for winning so many trophy. Liverpool and Chelsea is the only two club that I know for the recent season that remove their manager for not winning the EPL title. Just wondering where is GH and his Jaugur now ??
