Chelsea are so keen to sign Steven Gerrard that they are preparing to offer Damien Duff, Scott Parker, Joe Cole and £20 million in exchange for the Liverpool midfielder.

The club's owner Roman Abramovich, new manager Jose Mourinho and chief executive Peter Kenyon are putting the deal together and hope to take it to the Anfield board and their new manager Rafael Benitez by the weekend.

Gerrard will be offered £125,000 a week to quit his hometown club and head to West London.

Republic of Ireland winger Duff had a superb season at Stamford Bridge following his £18 million move from Blackburn last summer, although he missed the last month-and-a-half with a shoulder injury.

But despite the popularity with the Chelsea fans Duff has not settled in the capital and would consider a move back north.

Chelsea are also prepared to sacrifice former Charlton playmaker Parker, 23, just five months after signing him for £12 million.

Parker, who has only started 12 matches since leaving the Valley would be among a host of players competing with Frank Lampard in central midfield, plus Chelsea are about to sign Portugese playmaker Deco for £14 million.

Joe Cole will also find himself surplus to requirements at Chelsea and would welcome a move to Anfield.

If true, I would say its a pretty good deal and I would vote in favour for it! BUT if only GERRAD says he wanna go...if he doesnt wanna go then we should not sell.

Stevie Gee will stay at Liverpool ! Especially after England's exit at Euro 2004 ! Mr. Green

Ex-great Jimmy Case and Alan Kennedy makes a few good points to SG on why he should stay at LFC , and the points makes sense !

It's fair for SG to give Benitez a chance , especially on Benitez style of play and the desire with he had at Valencia !

SG will stay ! Chelsea will not get him !

If I were Steve G , I wouldn't leave for Chelsea , looking at........

The prospect of Liverpool FC , seeing and playing with players like......

1.Chris Kirkland , LFC's up and coming potential goalkeeper for WC2006 to replace David James !

2.D.Cisse - France League 30 goals goal-machine !

3.Milan Baros - The One-Man Czech Republic scoring sensation !

4.Mick Owen - our very own Scoring sensation !

And to this stage , we haven't seen the possible potential candidate that Benitez will sign and boost our set-up ! I'm sure some will come , and many will go !

For one , Bruno Cheyrou , the new Zidane as describe by GH , will go to Marseille !

Lucky for El Hadji Diouf , he might just be one on Benitez's plan ! Benitez like wingers ! And perhaps Harry Kewell will be our main man on the left this August too !

With some polishing from Benitez , Diouf and Kewell will be explosive , compared to last season ! Playing aggression i.e !

Good bye to the good old long ball technics , here comes the New Liverpool !

Ive read one article from www.thisisanfield.com , I like one quote from the editor : "Maybe Gerrard will be more likely to win major honours at Chelski but would he get the same satisfaction if he helped steer Liverpool to silverware ? "

This is another much more sensible thoughts for Stevie Gee !

Let's hope he wake up his "Color of Money" dreams !

Mich Owen has said of his dis-satisfaction of SG wanting a move across London , and it's up to SG to make his stand , he's been kept really quiet since !
