Does C.Rainieri deserve to be sacked ?

Poolman SG

No !

That's my answer ! What's yours ?

Spent 110 million pounds only on players......got that EPL Runner-up medal ........ beat MU for that automatic qualifier for UCL next seaon....UCL Semi-Finallist this season ......what the f_uck somemore that Russian want ? Mad

I think he deserve to be there for another season , just to prove without strengthen this squad further , he can deliver at least one trophy next season !

One funny scenario , I wouldn't agree on that , speculation is that Mourinho and Luis Van Gaal will be team together as Dual Coach !

What for ?

Is there a need to ?

Funny la that Russian Mafia !

the Bear SG

i'd say he did a much better job than GH...

if LFC fired GH and got CR, LFC would be a force to be reckoned with, don't you think? Smile

Poolman SG

I favour that change , really !

I always like Italian's coach !

French's breed never comes into my mind !

For example , remember that Roberto Mancini , that ex-Lazio's long serving player , he's doing a fantastic job with Lazio right now , he doesn't need to buy expensive players , but look at him , Lazio has been brilliant this season !

One best thing is , this is only his first season as Head-Coach !

the Bear SG

the coach, could come from mars for all i care actually Laughing

but responsibility is lacking in GH...

i hate it when people refuse to be responsible...

Poolman SG

Too bad la !

Now the situation is that the players had save their Le Boss his job , by winning at MU , Birmingham !

Looking like we have to bear with his boring stuff all over again !

Looking like he's having his last laugh ! Sad

Maybe The Board is giving him another run , if that still don't work , that could be his final days !

All in all i think , he's asking for another season and the Board oblige to his demand !!

Although GH have done badly this season, but let us not forget that he brought us some trophies in recent years.

GH finally got it rite with his line-up. He has been experimenting with his new signings in the first half of the season and end up much worse. This current formation is the best we have seen so far.
Carragher, being a no-nonsense defender, is a excellent centreback much faster than henchoz. With Murphy, Gerrard and Kewell providing the creative sparks, finally Owen and Heskey is getting their shots in.I believe he will keep his lineup for the final match unless any injuries.

X-men SG

Nope… he was not given time to prove the worth of the $ spent with exception of Veron (think he can only play in Italy)

kpo SG

... i fully agree with you ah pool ... ah rain should keep his job ...

... i think the mafia will get wenger and fergie together if he could Smile ... they seem to have abt 3 top players in each position ...

kpo SG

... ah rain has definitely done a better job ... and i believe we wouldn't be in 4th position by name only if he was in charge ... he led chelsea to champs league last season without much financial backup and has done quite well this season ... i can't believe he's getting no support from his board ... i wouldn't mind him at anfield at all ... if he can bring lampard, terry and gallas over even better Very Happy ... and owen would probably be playing and enjoying his football a lot better ...

... btw, houllier can be responsible at times ... he was responsible for the recent wins over man u and birmingham ... and of course he was responsible for all our wins ...

KVN SG

Ranieri has done well.Champions League semi finals and 2nd in the league.

But we all know that Abramovich wants success. If Ranieri can't deliver it,Abramovich will look elsewhere. There's always going to be a better manager for any job.I'm not surpised if he gets sacked. But then again,it won't surprise me either if he stays, cos he has done a reasonable job at Chelsea.

Parka SG

Guess the local league is always more important.

In serie A it's also like that. So it's not surprising if they field CMI players for champions league if there's a Serie A match on the same week.

Poolman SG

Wow ! I just love to see the Stamford Bridge's standing ovations for Claudio Raineri !

I'm not surprised at all ! He deserve this ovations , including one from me !

The fans love him ! Really love him !

What the hell is Roman The Russian mafia thinking ?

Parka SG

Some Italian squads are like that. But if you look closely, Lazio's squad by itself if already quite good.

I can still remember the good old days of Parma where they turned nobodies into somebodies.

Crespo (I can't remember if he came from Parma)
Buffon
Carnavaro
Chiesa
Veron
Ortega
Stankovic
......and many more.
