Deportivo 4 - AC Milan 0

Poolman SG

What ? Another upset ? I need to run , 'cos I dump all my money on AC !

Incredible ! Unbelievable !

What the reason ? Most favourites all went out !

Tell me leh , it's like a dream !

Overnight , this season , we saw underdogs , non-seeded , coming from behind teams in the semis !

What's happening here ?

Me Surprise ? Very !

798 SG

Unbelieveable. Teams like Deportivo, Monaco, lost in the 1st leg comin up strong and beat hot-favourite teams in the return legs.
In chinese we called, "bei shui yi zang".

X-men SG

A week of upsets....

maybe tomorrow Liverpool will beat Arsenal? Mr. Green

Doenitz SG

I would love that to happen! Arrogant Assnil deserve a treble...of consecutive defeats!

Poolman SG

I think Deportivo went into the match knowing , with Real , Bayern Munich , Arsenal , MU , all eliminated , this is their best chance to get the elusive European Champion !
The best plus point is , this match was played at The Riazor , it's a once in a lifetime chance !

Surprise they won , and won big !

Now they become favourite ! Second favourite would be Chelsea !

the Bear SG

frankly, arsenal has been anything but arrogant this season!

but it's great! shows you what "playing like madmen" can do... passion.. that's what this game is about..

that's what LFC has forgotten what it..

Poolman SG

T.Henry not playing , but no different la , we can handle him !

But please don't put all your money on Pool , if GH can claimed 0-0 with Leicester is a good result , then don't hope much from this game !

I see a share point between Arsenal and Pool ! 0-0 !

kpo SG

... can't believe milan can throw away a 3 goal lead ... the ball is really round Smile ... sekali if ah rain and his blues win the champs league, his rice bowl suddenly change from paper material to stainless steel Razz

... i'm very very suspicious about wenger ... i believe he's trying to make us have a false sense of security ... and i wouldn't be surprised one bit if henry suddenly become fit tomorrow ...

Poolman SG

As i've said , with On-Ray or no On-Ray , makes no diff to me , he can't score against us !

Remember the last time we met , he was kept very quiet ! The goal that won Gunners the game was a gem by Pires ...so....no diff la !

The person we must look out is Pires , again ! He had a bad game against Chelsea , and of course , to redeem his off-day ....which game is best to re-impress the Gunner fans ?

Poolman SG

I felt that Anchellotti make a mistake of not playing Costacurta ! During the first leg at San Siro , Costacurta had a terrific game , he master the defense , to distinction !

This time around , he chose to play Neste , and I thought Neste is a bit rusty !

And I also observe Maidini has had a bad game against Valeron ! The latter was simply magnificent ! Maidini really was second that day !

Maybe when Maidinin had a bad day , AC too had a bad day !

Båseline SG

The underdogs had nothing to lose but everything to play for. These underdogs played with passion and team spirit not seen in the big teams.... a united cause to play their best.

Well, you never know.... this season's CL final might turn out to be more exciting than last years's despite the losses of RM, AC Milan and Arsenal.

Parka SG

I totally agree. Haha. There are just some teams that can go "WOW" when they are on fire, even if they are underdogs.

Parka SG

And I'm a bit surprised at the scoreline.

But I'm not surprised that AC Milan lost. Italian teams are capable of this kinda upsets.

Båseline SG

AC Milan's defence are on the average... 30s except for Nesta I believed. Mr. Green

The new season will see alotta big teams looking for proven defenders. The likes of Real Madrid, AC Milan, Man Utd and Arsenal perhaps.

Doenitz SG

Costacurta? Billy is 38 liao! He lacks pace and match practice as he is seldom utilized.Pandiani is a pretty quick player leh...

Anyway,this match smacks of KELONG!!!

Maybe Mr Abramovich is involved?

Doenitz SG

In terms of defence,I think Roma has the strongest central defence in Europe currently.

Walter Samuel and Cristian Chivu, mind you!

Poolman SG

Oh well , he's a 38 old man liao , quite true ! Again , what can we say when he played at San Siro a week ago , Milan thrashed DLC 4-1 !

When it matters most , AC badly need his experience !

Stablizing effects ? Mr. Green

Poolman SG

Ya man , Roma ! Only 13 goals conceded for the whole of Serie A campaign ! Valencia defense also tok-gong..... my favourite for the UEFA Cup !
