It was a game full of drama.

Blackburn went ahead
Lucas Neil made headlines for the wrong reasons again. He got sent off.Danny Murphy equalised from the spot.

So it was Liverpool against 10 men Blackburn, which meant more space for the midfield.El Hadji Diouf capped a fine performance with 3 assists in the 2nd half.2 headers,2 goals for Heskey. One tap in for Kewell.

Heskey could have sealed his hat trick from the spot after Kewell was ajudged to have pull down Kewell but the England man hit a poor shot parried away by Friedel.Heskey had requested to take the spotkick after Gerrard had place the ball.

Game set?Not quite.Blackburn rallied. They brought on Emerton and with Yorke and Cole created havoc for the pool defence. They scored 2 late goals but it was never gonna be enough to save the day.

Liverpool 4-3 victors.

Great to know that Hamann came on to play the last 15 minutes or so of the game. Wink
