my very first first post!!! Very Happy

okay, i wanna learn driving but im a total kuku at it. Im very confused about what theory lessons / practical lessons. Sososo i need someone who's clear-minded as compared to me & learn with me! heh more fun to learn with friends but apparently, all my girlfriends dont wanna learn ):

So im looking for a girl who wants to learn driving with me at CDC (ubi) , that will have to take what theory tests first then practical with me, so yeah preferably someone who have no knowledge about cars at all!

All the more reason to learn at Ubi... Once you pass from there, you'll know how to handle roads with heavy traffic... and you won't be scared of all the buses and big lorries there too... You'll definitely be more confident on the road if you can deal with traffic like that...

not trying to sound mcp here but i wouldn't take a girl's advice when it comes to matters of the road, theoretical or practical likewise. females just make natural bad drivers in general. sorry if the truth hurts! Wink

Hey.. i also just started learning driving..

From what i know, u have to take 1 basic theory test n 1 final theory test before u can start practical. There are definately pple who failed for the theory test, so if u wan, u can take the e trial, cos it might help for the theory test.

i am taking private lesson, so after i pass my ftt, i went to take PDL liao.. den if u wan learn in sch one u have to book or something ba.. haha..

You must take 2 theory tests, basic and final theory

The tests should be done in school. I was from the private route, went to ubi book theory tests. Last time still got a test location at queenstown police station but now no more liao.

No need attend lessons if you can understand whats written in the textbooks.

Yes, got people fail theory tests. Don't laugh ah, wait you yourself also fail.

You can take practical once you clear your basic theory as you only need basic theory to apply for Provisional Driving License (PDL). But you need final theory to apply for practical test date. Final theory is only valid for 2 years so if you still can't pass your practical by then, you have to take your final theory again.

Wah lau, don't stereotype females leh, I know some females very zai one, even more zai than me and other males.

However, I must say though, those lousy female drivers are more often than not, really lousy. See them on the road also dunno want to laugh or shake head. That probably why many guys say female drivers are lousy.

heh i thought its like school mah, i see the cdc website what theory class and alot of shit, then i thought like go normal school like that, now then i know its not. sorry im too noob. haha.

erm, my friends all dont wanna learn i dono whats their problem lahz. maybe they want their hubby to fetch them around, or perhaps they see no need to learn. most of my friends dont wanna learn cos they think waste money, like they rather spend the amount on clothes/makeup to beautify themselves! haha!

Ya i agree with LH83, graduate frm Ubi CDC one u will get more confidence and ur half clutch skill will be better provided u plan to learn manual. Actually i suggest u to sign up as student take their theory package which i think abt 100+ or so. The package includes e-learning, 2 trial tests each for basic and advance and of cos the tests. After u pass the basic theory test then u can apply for PDL and also start booking for ur driving lessons. Gd luck.

Class 3 (Manual) : $24/h
Class 3a (Auto) : $42/h

then they explained its due to high demand and low supply, hence the higher fees for auto.

but my parents encourage me to learn manual lah.
