Hi! I'm new here.

I am thinking of applying in as SPO. But I'm currently pursuing part time degree at SIM-UOL. Is there a chance that I can apply and wait for the notification from them? Do I need good grades to get in?

Another thing is what are the chances of female getting in?

Are the selection criteria for female, the same as male?

Shirlene right? When will you be graduating from your degree course? I reckon it'll be better if you apply maybe 3 months before you graduate? With regards to grade, it's not all that matters but like the website states, you need to have at least a pass.

I do not know about the chances though and the selection criteria is as stated on the website. The rest really depends on the higher authority over at SPF.

to everyone waiting for the next stages, be advised it takes FOREVER for them to get back to you.

for my case, 1st stage in December, called up for 2nd stage in March. just got called up for 3rd stage yesterday.

all in all, the whole process takes about 5-6 months from start to finish, so apply as early as possible.

Hi! I jux went for AD dialogue yday morning 11 June

Then, was called up later in the afternoon to go for psychologist this Friday 15 June.

Talked to the HR guy, he said if pass psycho, will know within 1-2wks for board interview.

Seems like the waiting time is getting shorter as u advance beyond AD dialogue stage.

Hi! I am new here! Anyway, anyone going for the SPO Selection Assessment on the 27 June? I am from SIM-UOL and am waiting for the release of my results and my school doesnt have a GPA, etc. They require us to bring a original copy of transcript So I dont know what to bring along. Also, where to get the latest update of PES Status? Can anyone help?

It’s ok if you don’t have your transcript. The recruitment officers will just tell you to submit it when you have them. Anyway your pes status can be obtained from your ns portal. If you served in spf for ns, you have to ask your pns office for your pes status.

Thanks for your help, I was from SPF, so I have to make a trip down to my Div for it. Anyway have u went for the assessment alr? I would say it is tough for me. Especially the VRT part of the psychometric test. If you went through for it alr, how do u find it?

Hi Chomeisen,

I thought it was ok. I did a similar test before so I was more or less expecting something like that. Anyway it’s actually ok if you cannot finish the test. I think its more crucial that you get more questions correct. That said, you should have done a majority of the questions.

@ [email protected], I dont think I can tell you much on it. Except that it is a long process with many questions to answer. So probably the best advice I can give you is to have enough rest the day before you go for it :)

@yjkeh I got through to the next round to have a dialogue session with AD :) I still thought I will fare badly for the psychometric test, was really happy to know that I got through. Anyway how long will the whole dialogue session take? And it will be a one to one session?

Well done choimeisen! Haha the interview is at most 2 to 1 with the AD manpower and another manpower officer. Mine was done with the manpower officer only cos the AD was in a meeting. The actual interview should last only half an hour. The questions for me were focused on my motivations for joining the police, the courses i did and also my experiences. So you can take some time to reflect on them before you attend the interview.

yjkeh, I've cleared the interview and is scheduled for a psychologist meeting next week. Anyway, they did not send me any email, just a call. Is it the same for you?

Hey SYHL, I have finished my panel interview and just got my letter to do the medical checkup.

Hi Chomeisen,, they also gave me a call only for the psychologist interview. Just go there with an open mind and discuss about yourself openly and you will be fine
