arrested for theft

hi all,

i was arrested for theft of a mobile phone awhile ago. the stolen phone has been seized by the police and i was released on bail.

does anyone have any idea what the usual procedure is for such cases and what the likely punishment will be? first time offender, never had a police record and 22 years old.

wait for charge in court.... the legal procedure is, police will submit evidence and charges ...then u wait for when to go court lor....

Police are just law enforcement - they do not decide your sentence.

Sentencing etc. is up to you to tell the judge....either yourself or through lawyer.
