My friend went on the 6th of July. Also no news.

I went on 20 July. They says wait for 1 week. very anxious leh... i did very very badly for the tests (especially the written essay) as i'm not feeling well on that day. Then got several office calls to attend to during the sessions. :( hope all went well man. Bo Peep Bo Peep ya.

Went on 13th July. The person in charge also said wait one week... but its been 2 weeks and yet no news. They really shouldn't lie about the processing time

Hey guys... the current application deadline for the position of Senior Police Officer runs from 1 August 2011 to 25th August 2011... I know this might be pushing it, but does anyone here have a rough estimate of when they might call applicants up for the first interview?

Hi guys, i am a new user to this forum and i have been reading all of your replies. So, hello everybody!

By the way, i applied for the Senior Police Officer on the 24th Aug just for fun, while waiting for the results of the psychometric test for the Senior Narcotics Officer (taken on 16th Aug). I just received a reply today (26th Aug), asking me to go for the selection assessment for SPO on the 31st Aug. Just to let you guys know and gauge for yourselves the waiting time...

@chimpchimp: me too! but i think this very short waiting time (most people average 2 weeks or even more of waiting time) is due to the fact that this is the last selection assessment of the yr as stated in the email :)

Sorry for my late reply. Yup. Just to sum up my status. I went for selection assessment on 13 July and I've went for my 1st round of interview on 11 Aug. I just receive a call on Friday 26th August that they will arrange a third round interview with a physicologist in the following week because all the slots are full. Date not confirmed yet. They say they will call me up this week to give a possible date.

As for my friend, his interviewing progress is much faster. He went for the selection assessment on the 6th of July, interview on 4th of August, and went for third round interview with a physicologist on 18th August.

Will update here once I have any news.

Did you all manage to ask around and find out more about the life and challenges of a SPO? Its not an easy job. Better find out more before we sign anything.
