You will be under the ex PNS join VSC situation. ORD 2009, confirm no need train again. Warrant card is 24/7.

The studies requirement, maybe can bah, since you are ex PNS... wait for someone to confirm.

no fixed shift.

If you are free, you VOLUNTEER for duties, they will arrange for you to do the duty on the time you volunteered.

No obligations like they ask you do, you die die must come. because this is all voluntary basis.

hi, thinking of signing up VSC, one question here:

During that 9 months training period, can I skip one or two lesson? Bcox due to work or personal commitment that I can't guarantee I will be available thruout the entire 9 months.

If we're allow to skip some of the lesson, any make up lesson? And will I pass out within the batch? THX...

yes

Arias SG

So we know the entire 9 months schedule on day 1? No make up lesson, if we skip that lesson, then we 'rugi' la.

Actually there is no lose out, you definitely can catch up with the phase...

If you have valid reason you are allow to take leave... As the FI know that work come first... But not everytime, if like that might as well don't join because even if you pass out your work will also limit you from voluntary and clock the hours...

That's mine advice, as alot of people resigned as they cannot manage their time...

All the best Arias... :)

Thx Cheng.

Dude,

The VSC is an organisation that will understand your 'real life' concerns. It remains a volunteer organisation even though it is uniformed. This means the VSC will understand work and family have to come first. The same in training. However, you can imagine there are certain elements you MUST attend. Not passing IPPT will mean you are not allowed to join any division and stay in training until you pass. For shooting for instance, obviously you must attend and pass before they will give you a gun. Simple right? So if you miss it, you must come back at a later date. For other classes which are less critical, if you miss it, there will not be any catchup, you just have to study the notes from your classmates, so you will still pass the exam. Please note however that each course has a minimum required attendance %, which is reasonable but it means you have to be sensible too about how many classes you can miss.

The key for me was to study the schedule, make sure you don't miss exam dates (miss those and that is a real pain) and book work trips when there are no exams or key classes to attend.
