I am 35 now, I
have minor criminal record. 2 years back I was convicted for
shoplifting and paid 1500$ fine.
Now I am
applying for CNCC (Police clearance) certificate for immigration
purpose.
Can anyone
clarify my below queries on CNCC?
Will my minor
criminal record appear in CNCC(Police clearance)
certificate?
Has anyone
obtained CNCC with criminal record? Will they mention the crime
type(Shoplifting)? Or they just say I have a criminal
record?

this one, you will need to check with CID. But no worries, cos
you can do so as you apply for your CNCC. This is because
application for CNCC is made at Police Cantonment Complex, where
CID is also based. You can enquire there, as they would be in a
better postion to inform you [since you are the interested party
and we would all be breaching the Official Secrets Act should we
disclose to you the contents of the certificate].
