Hi everyone,
I need your help with something...
Singapore police clearance takes 14 days to process! I thought
in Singapore, just a click of the button, and you'll have all the
information you need. My questions are:
1. How come it takes so long to process this? Other countries
take 5 days max.
2. What do they need to check in order for me to get cleared? do
they need to check out all the companies that I have worked for in
Singapore?.. banks?.. telcom companies I have dealt with?..
I am just wondering why the process? It's so
UNLIKE Singapore. Can somebody help me understand?
Thanks ya' ol!
Sounds to me like you applying for the certificate of no
criminal conviction [CNCC]. Am I right to say this?
If I am not, then take it as this is for general knowledge
then.
But I if am right, do read on...
Unfortunately, how and why the department involved [Criminal
Investigation Department] takes two weeks to process your
application will not be able to be explained to you. These are
internal practices, governed by the Official Secrets Act. Only
known by those who do the relevant screenings.
Some added info on this particular certificate:
