is the structure of e police force similar to that of the SAF?

i.e. : u muz start of from corporal to sergeant to become officers or u can jus choose to sign on in the police force as officers straight away?

skythewood SG

the diff is the lowest rank is corporal.

to be senior officer, must complete NS first. must have degree.

hmm just asking ah if im a cpl now how long will it take to get a sgt? isit just like saf 1 or 2 year go up 1 rank???

skythewood SG

not really...

SAF regular 1 or 2 year go up one rank, because alot more nsf than regular, so need regular to command them.

SPF is more regular than nsf, so will not be that easy bah. also, there is less rank for you to promote too.

SAF from PTE,PFC, LCP, CPL, 3SG, 2SG, 1SG, SSG, MSG, 2WO, 1WO, MWO, SWO ,13 ranks

SPF from CPL, SGT, SSGT, SSSGT, SI, SSI, SSI(2)
7 ranks

cannot compare like that.

HO SEI BO SG

hmm icic thx alot

On average, it takes an officer about abt 4-6 years to attain the next rank.

corebooster SG

around dat age, there are male SSI 2 at the age of 50. getting their pay at the region of 4k + some near 5k.

this is provided they are promoted on a consistent scale and yeah, if u have a chance, there is a internal circular issued a few months back on the salary scale. go take a look if you have the chance.

skythewood SG

the intranet thingie...i only look at the force order. take a look at the salary next time.
