Although Wong Kan Seng plans to give retention bonous, the salary
scales for our unsung heros are definitely too low as compared to
their counterpart like HK.
The low salary scale is one of the main reason for the declining
attraction factor to sign on.
Since 2004, the number of police officers leaving the
service rose by 50 per cent, from 221 in 2004 to 332 in

Recent security lapse might have errupted due to low incentives
like the pay. Yes some may argue u gotta sign for passion. But
look, with current rate of inflation, passion cannot ensure one's
survival!
Did not post in police forums because i think this issue is on a
general lvl. Police officers are just one example.
Our ministers earn
highest salaries in the region but the supposedly world class
police in sg earns like crap.
Just my 2 cents, after reading WKN's plan in retention.
