if i remember correctly… ministers must salute… commissioned officers from scdf and mindef must salute cause they are commissioned by the president/minister/pm… dunno who commission them… as for ica and the other apos… their really high ranking officers aka supt and above are actually seconded from spf… tt 1 if i regconise the face i might salute them for the fact that they have the spf rank of supt and above… the rest heck care… most of the time i dun regconise them hahaha

If you were to ask me, paying compliments is actually a must... but nowadays who bothers? but you may be subjected to disciplinary actions if you dont....

Issit so difficult just to raise up you hand to salute them? iTs a requirement to pay compliments to officers bearing SSI(1) and equivalent ranks and above.... Mr. Green

I agree with you. Does it really matter who we pay compliments to? What matters if you have done what is right and its not something you did wrongly.
If you salute the Commission or SO it shows that you have respect but if he doesn't accepts it than just don't bother. This voice down to the upbringing of a person. So... Why bother of such thing on who to pay compliments and not to right?
