Of course you can pursue the matter. Party put on hold. People
go to station for questioning etc etc.....
But I do not think you can catch the culprit.
Police will ask, how do you know its stolen? Any suspect? Did you
put it somewhere? Did you drop it on the way there? Did you ask
anyone to hold it?
But rest assure, what can the police do? From where you think they
can start? At most they can do is to question the people at
place.
