I like the investigation part and maybe be an undercover… Working for intelligence, but the jobscope isn’t very clear for the CNB recruitment site only give...

Arena SG

Can anybod share how is working in CNB like?
CNB is under the Police organisation right?
From advertisement, it says CNB officers are all non-uniformed...
This means they work like detectives and undercovers right?

Evanglion SG

monoslayer SG

Hellraiza SG

Can i apply if i have a tattoo? Confused

CNB is a separate organisation from the SPF. They do follow a very close rank structure to the SPF. Yea, CNB officers are plain clothed.

Lord Kang SG

they are allowed to keep long hair all those..just to blend in with the rest of the people..

gUms SG

tattoo is allowed , no criminal record , completed ns , pes A or b & min 5-o level

Pitot SG

CNB is under home team. Together with SPF.

Highly dangerous job. Irregular hours.

As the old saying goes..

You know them(drug traffickers/addicts).. But they know you too...

viciouskitty74 SG

CNB is with SPF. Yes.

However, they operate as separate entities with good relations with each others in the SPF.

They have different recruitment methods and training then normal SPF.

Not many SPF officers crossed over to the CNB unless they are really special skilled officers.

So if you are keen to join the CNB, try their website instead. http://www.cnb.gov.sg/

Or watch the newspaper classified.

Arena SG

That means they will harm ur family etc?

viciouskitty74 SG

The threat is forever there.

madcampus SG

CNB is NOT under SPF. They are part of the Home Team, which include ICA, ISD, SPF, CDF and Singapore Prison Service.

quote:
Singapore Customs is a government agency under the Ministry of Finance. Formed on 1 April 2003, Singapore Customs is the lead agency on trade facilitation and revenue enforcement matters. It is responsible for implementation of customs and trade enforcement measures including those related to free trade agreements and strategic goods.

http://www.ica.gov.sg/
quote:
The Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) is a government agency under the Ministry of Home Affairs. ICA has brought together the former Singapore Immigration & Registration (SIR) and the enforcement work performed by the former Customs & Excise Department (CED) at the various checkpoints. Operational on 1 April 2003, ICA is responsible for the security of Singapore's borders against the entry of undesirable persons and cargo through our land, air and sea checkpoints. ICA also performs other immigration and registration functions such as issuing travel documents and identity cards to Singapore citizens and various immigration passes and permits to foreigners. It also conducts operations against immigration offenders.

so customs is not ICA.
