Does anyone know if there're any restriction regarding lock
picks in singapore? Was thinking of bringing some with me. I'm a
hobbist lock picker, not a locksmith.
I have seen this part of the law:
Possession of housebreaking previmplementsnext or offensive
weapons
22. (1) Any person who is found
(a) armed with any dangerous or offensive instrument without lawful
authority or a lawful purpose;
(b) having his face covered or otherwise found disguised with
intent to commit any offence; or
(c) armed with any article or instrument for use in the course of
or in connection with any housebreaking,
shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to
imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years; and any instrument
or article found in the possession of that person shall be
forfeited.
It seems that the main part here is proving intent, that the
person carrying lock picks was going to use them, was had already
used them in a break in. Would that be right? Thanks.
