in any government organisation, be it uniform or civlian staff,
you gotta respect the rank or position of your superiors whether
you like it or not. like someone mentioned in this thread, "you
salute the rank, not the man". if you don't like the SO, then just
communicate when and where officially or when necessary. even if
you don't like the SO, you still gotta pay compliments to him/her.
some SO can be PGO when work is concern but when it comes to
leisure, he/her is like a buddy. I have worked with SO who are PGO,
but when we sit down over a beer, we are like buddies. There are SO
whom i have worked with who are "see up no see down" kind. It all
depends on how individuals handle it.
