Seems alot of our officers have different methods in
apprehending the situation.
Nowadays, PO were trained in T-Baton. It is a new defence (primary)
and attacking (secondary) technique PO needs to be trained. It is
effective if the officer is cool minded and be able to react fast
to defend himself against attack.
There is something called - Appreciation of Situation (AOS) which
is important for all POs on the ground. Never step into a situation
where you are in disadvangtage. For example, u shall never dash
into a gang crash w/o knowing what exactly u need/want to do. Get
the appropriate backups and keep ops room informed so that they can
arrange for resources. Safety comes first in this instance.
Karate, TKD and etc seems too late to react.. street fighting
better.
