Are private diplomas recognized by SPF? what category do private diploma holders go to when they enlist upon signing on..corporal or sergeant?

The first cert you step out to work ... civil service will use that as a basis for your future in the organization not matter what further studies you do from hence onwards and even at your own expense and time. But I am not sure if there was any changes to the system but this is what the saf guys said ...

i plan to make it in STAR..qualifications doesnt really matter down there..for how long? as long as I can fulfill the job responsibility to the best of my ability. but wat u said is kinda surprising but not shocking. thanks for the info. Very Happy

Not really.... but i do encounter fella colleagues equipped with Diploma offer by Shatec. So far hvnt heard any from NAFA.

I had a friend who took a private degree course thinking he may be converted to an officer but it never happened. So he just quit after the end of his 6 year contract and moved on to the private sector.

Its understood to be so ... That's the silent message in civil service. You base degree will be the basis of your future. So now we have prove.

My company has a silent message as well. If you don't kiss ass, you are not white american, you are simply another worker with no "close friends" with the management or directors, and you're not happy, there will never be any opportunity or promotion, the company will be pretty happy to replace you with some cheap india labour... that's the truth and lost of good people had left... for me, I'm waiting for my serverence package when they retrench me.
