in-service falls on thursday….u will know how to ‘calculate’ when u start your 1-2-O-O shift thingy…if u mean SPO then u will go to I-Branch for AT LEAST 6 mths after your 9 mths in Tracom, then you MAY BE posted out to be TL…of cos got some people go PID, STAR, SD&I etc….

if that is so... you would be an IO for at least one year before they will send you to teams... then you will be our TL... Very Happy .. so you start with office hour jobs ....

Is it? Last I heard, lots of POs with degrees arent given the chance to upgrade into SPOs either nowadays.

true...i think i have mentioned it in December 2004 too. max is SSI 2...few can go to SO liao...unless u are super high-flyer

Not all POs with degree means that are capable right?

every JOs are given chances to be a SO, qualifications come into the picture when maybe 2 qualified candidates but only one to be nominated? Mr. Green

best way is to resign and apply for SO….but then SO that are promoted rank and file are much better than direct entry SO though… feel that those rank and file ones are like one of the men easier to work.. those direct entry ones too much command and control.. there is a huge distance there… any other comments?

have to depends on their character sometimes....your future is stucked at stuck sgt or Senior Stuck if u join as PO and SO they won't recruit much...maybe a handful each yr cos got too much SOs liao

Heh.....I just heard a different perspective from another PO regular (who is a super laojiao now). He says direct entry SPOs are actually prefered, because they dont have bad habits to break. In addition, his expeirence in watching r&f SPOs compared to direct entry ones showed quite a significant number of r&f SPOs struggling to adjust to their new roles.
