Question: How do I know if my diploma qualification is acceptable for employment in the Singapore Civil Service?
Answer: The entry requirement for diploma positions in the Singapore Civil Service is a polytechnic diploma. Diploma qualifications from our local polytechnics are acceptable entry qualifications for the Civil Service diploma positions.

For overseas diplomas and other local diplomas, the standard and rigour of these programmes must at least match those available in our local polytechnics to be considered as meeting the entry requirements for diploma positions in the Civil Service.

One year diploma qualifications offered by local private institutions are generally not considered as equivalent to local polytechnic diploma qualifications for purpose of Civil Service appointments.
