houndy SG

houndy SG

hmmmm....well...i seen this kind of officers... but plain clothes one.. Very Happy

FireIce SG

do they direct recruit plain-clothes?

houndy SG

Have.. senior officers, they go straight to investigation branch but before that in training... well... the studs and the hair colour is a no-no

jolin80 SG

ya loh n oso for gals with they keep long hair they will ask them to cut it to shoulder length as for mi i wont do that

gal gal SG

dun think i can. i applied 3 times and when they finally accept me, i withdrew my application.

jolin80 SG

why u found new job ??

houndy SG

why? got a change of heart??

huaiwei SG

Talk about small world, but anyway, I just registered on this forum coz my fello mata-wannabe friend showed this section to me, and I noticed someone here is actually in the same NPC as me? Very Happy

I am a VSC thou...just graduated around june this year, and spent a month or so in Serangoon liao. Formally I am posted to Delta, but I can move around if I feel like it lah. Yesterday I joined Alpha, for eg. Haven try Bravo yet. Razz

gal gal SG

not cos i found another job. i got a job currently. withdrew cos i may get married soon and i dun wanna get married when i’m bonded. not very nice to get pregnant when i haven complete my bond.

houndy SG

VSC good life sia... can move around... got any specific hours to clock???

houndy SG

icic...i got a squadmate that is married too...but your husband must be VERY understanding if you actually join the force.. cause most of the ladies i know that are serving the force...normally marry fellow officers...

huaiwei SG

Each month minimum 16 hours loh. They dont really care when and what we do lah...so long that it is 16 hours we wont get warnings.

But of coz in the end, its our originally assigned team leader who is going to report on our performance every year, so move around too much at our peril! Very Happy

btw you must be in the force too yourself?

Edit: Er...just saw your posts in the previous page. Ignore my question. Razz

houndy SG

icic...cause my team do not have any VSC..wonder why...maybe it is not too popular i think..

huaiwei SG

Hmm...you said you Alpha is it? Which NPC?

Some NPCs do not have any VSC at all....but if you are from Alpha, then confirm both (and the only 2) NPCs have tonnes of them!

larry_longwei SG

My Dear Brother..
i do hope u still hav the same "fire" as u do on day one, 3 years down the road in serving the public...
the job is not as colorful as wat alot of M.o.P. think it to be..

watever it is.. i wish u the best of luck in ur career path.. Smile

houndy SG

could be but i got none in my team though...team bravo has alot of them though

qazplm SG

sorry for the late reply.... actually congrats you for getting a new job....

to be pregnant during training in PA is also not allowed.... I have not personally gone through the agreements stated, but i do have a friends that almost got sack because of this... of course after training when you are posted out of PA will be fine....

as for the bond for females is 2 years.... its ok when you decide to have family planning, as SPF is currently promoting balanced worklife.... you can be transfer to office hours during your pregnancy... thou is sad to lose a officer like you who are so enthusiast and you can actually benefits from the recent "package" offer by govt for civil servant for women....

i do wish you all the best in your current job... perhaps private company might suit you more? Mr. Green

qazplm SG

I do understand what you have experiance in your these three years....

but trust me.... as long as you have done your part correctly and "cover youself" you will be fine even if the complaint against you seems very serious.... what you might want to consider to do is to know your DSO and SOP well so as to safe guard yourself...

sometimes its not the M.O.P, but its the satisfaction you get from this job of being a policeman/policewomen that makes you stay.... its an "extraordinary"career and no other job can give you the same working experiance.... i hope that you can see the "light" soon, as long as you are serious of making SPF as your career.... Mr. Green
