At about 3.35am this morning, the SCDF was alerted to an incident involving a collapsed structure at Upper Changi Road East, slip road into PIE (Changi). SCDF resources are at scene.

SGSecure mobile app users and StarHub mobile subscribers within the immediate vicinity of the incident would have received an advisory message urging members of public to stay away from the area. Road closure at the affected area.

The affected structure is part of a highway that is under construction. SCDF is conducting a search and rescue operation. SCDF K9 search dogs have also been deployed to assist in the operation.

About 60 SCDF officers including members from the SCDF's Disaster Assistance and Rescue Team (DART) are involved in the search and rescue operation.

10 workers have been conveyed to Changi General Hospital by SCDF ambulances and one worker was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

A secondary search operation is currently in progress.

SCDF search and rescue operation has been completed. All workers at the construction site are accounted for.
