17 injured in
accident involving two lorries and bus
SINGAPORE: An accident involving two lorries and a private bus
on the Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE) on Thursday morning (Jun 23)
left 17 people injured.
Channel NewsAsia understands that the 17 injured were passengers
on one of the lorries, and all suffered minor injuries.
The accident took place at around 7.15am on the AYE towards the
direction of the city, before the Clementi Avenue 6 exit, the
Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said. A fire engine, three
ambulances and a support vehicle were dispatched to the scene.
Nine of the passengers were sent to the National University
Hospital and the remaining eight were sent to Ng Teng Fong General
Hospital, SCDF said.
