Two cars catch
fire in different parts of S’pore; no one
injured
SINGAPORE — Two cars caught fire within the space of about an
hour on Monday evening (June 6) in different parts of
Singapore.
The first incident occured at about 5pm involving a white car on
fire near the junction of Farrer Road and Holland Road. The
Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) extinguished the fire, which
originated in the car’s engine compartment, with one water jet.
At about 6.12pm, the SCDF was then alerted to the second
incident. This time, it was a blue car whose engine compartment had
caught fire at the junction of Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1 and 8.
The SCDF extinguished the second fire using two compressed air
foam backpack jets.
One fire engine, one red rhino and two fire bikes were sent to
both scenes.
According the SCDF, no one was injured and both fires are under
investigation.
