Fire Incident at No. 6A Parry
Avenue
SCDF was
alerted to the fire at about 3am. Upon SCDF’s arrival, the fire was
raging and had engulfed the entire house, with the fire penetrating
through the roof. Firefighters used 4 water jets to penetrate the
burning house including conducting search and rescue operations
within the house. 2 additional water jets were simultaneously
deployed to prevent the fire from spreading to the adjacent
units.

occupants had self-evacuated prior to SCDF’s arrival and SCDF aided
2 occupants, which included an elderly man, out of the burning
house. The fire was brought under control within half an hour and
fully extinguished at about 4:30am.

bodies were found on the second floor of the house. The cause of
the fire is under investigation.

conveyed to hospital for heat exhaustion:
