SINGAPORE — A fire broke out in a corner unit of the Jalan
Waringin row of terrace houses at about 4.15pm today (May 31),
witnesses said.
Smoke and fire wafted through the roof of 1 Jalan Waringin, and
the fire had spread to the roof of the adjoining house, 3 Jalan
Waringin, before it was put out at about 5.20pm.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) confirmed that three
people evacuated from the house and no one was injured from the
blaze.
The fire is believed to have
started from the second level of the unit, the SCDF
said.
An investigation into the
cause of the fire is ongoing.
