Officers from the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) fire post
in Pasir Ris earned the plaudits of STOMPer Geraldine after they
rushed out to help the two motorcyclists who were injured in an
accident at a junction nearby last evening (Aug 31).
The STOMPer wrote:
"There was an accident at the junction of Pasir Ris Drive 1 &
Drive 6 at around 6.45pm last evening (Aug 31).
"This is an accident prone junction.
"I was below my block when I suddenly heard a loud bang, so I went
over to take a look at what happened.
"When I got there, I saw that a motorcycle had collided into a car,
and that the couple riding it were injured.
"The woman was flung quite a distance away from the
motorcycle.
"Thankfully, SCDF officers from the nearby Pasir Ris Fire Post came
rushing out to help, and got the woman to the side of the road so
as to not obstruct traffic.
"They also helped to direct traffic.
"If I'm not wrong, the couple were injured but conscious, and were
then taken away in an ambulance."
