Civil defence personnel were involved in rescuing
two men who were trapped in a gondola at Raffles Place on
Tuesday.
At about 5pm, the Singapore Civil Defence Force
(SCDF) received a call from a member of the public, who said that a
gondola was stuck midway at a building at 80 Raffles
Place.
Upon SCDF's arrival, they found a gondola stalled on the 8th
floor of the building's exterior. Two men were in the gondola.
SCDF rescuers first secured the two men with safety lines. A
ladder was then extended from a window on the 8th floor into the
gondola.
