The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), the Singapore
Police Force (SPF), and SBS Transit will be conducting an
operational exercise at Punggol Station on the North East Line, at
70 Punggol Central S(828868), on Thursday, 17 May 2012. The
exercise will begin at 1.00am and end around 4.00am.
Such emergency exercises are part of the various
agencies on-going efforts to validate and update operational plans
and procedures. In total, about 80 personnel and about 11 emergency
and supporting vehicles will be participating in this exercise.
All emergency vehicles participating in this exercise
will have their beacon lights turned on to alert motorists.
Exercise signages will also be placed at prominent locations to
keep members of public informed of the exercise.
The public is advised not to be alarmed.
