A body was found in the Bedok Reservoir on Tuesday morning. This is
the fifth since June.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), who responded to a call
from the public at 7.11am, said the body was found floating about
two metres away from shore when they arrived on the scene.
A section of the reservoir bank, directly opposite housing block
717, was cordoned off on Monday morning before the body was removed
at around 10.30am.
The body belonged to a Chinese female, an SCDF spokesman added.
Police believe the woman to be in her late 50s. They said she was
pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics at 7.20am. An
eyewitness, Mr Yeo Kin Kiat, 53, said the woman was wearing a red
top.
