A TRUCK driver was flung into the sea late last night after an
accident near the Tuas Checkpoint.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it received a call
at 11.47pm about a Malaysian-registered truck that had rammed into
the link bridge. The truck had been on its way to Singapore from
Johor Baru.
Staff from both the SCDF's Disaster Assistance Rescue Team and
the Police Coast Guard were on hand to look for the driver, but the
search was called off due to high tides.
