A fatal accident involving a motorcycle, a car and a lorry along
the PIE towards Jurong is causing a major traffic jam along the
highway.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force said hat they first received a
call about the accident, which happened near the Eng Neo exit at
about 7.03am.
The SCDF said that their paramedics found the motorcycle rider
pinned under the right rear tyre of the lorry and had to be
extricated.
He was pronounced dead at about 7.40am.
Hotline callers told MediaCorp radio that their journey to work
took close to one and a half hours.
The SCDF said the PIE-Jurong accident is just one of the several
traffic accidents that happened today.
Another accident occurred along the PIE towards Tuas.
