Career in SCDF

I am contemplating joining the SCDF as a Senior Officer, and I would like to hear from personnel of the SCDF, be they previous or presently-serving staff, with regards to the job as a whole, ie hours, what the job is like, prospects for the future, etc.

Actually, I have done prior research by visiting the link above. I was actually seeking more personal input by maybe having some people share their experiences, good or bad, with the SCDF.
