Hi all..

im really interested in joining the home team forces especially with scdf.. Cos not every job requires u to get out of your comfort zone and save some lives! so cheers to all scdf firefighters!

But here are my qns.. first of all.. i applied on the 28th and haven receive any replies since then.. the application process keeps getting stuck at in process... im really keen in the job and wana get myself in asap..

2nd qns is that im still studying and course will end on MAY 31 this yr.. but i'll get results in aug.. so can i apply while awaiting for graduation?

Lastly.. im still abit away frm passing.. well.. actually its jus sbj only.. the rest ok.. can score silver..so will i be even consider for an interview? or will thy nt even approve ur application at all?

Thanks all! hope to see some replies and enlightenment ! =)

just submit your resume & if I'm not wrong only shortlisted candidates will be notified..

for your 2nd question, yes you may but don't forget to state it in your resume that you'll be getting your results on the 31st May 2010..

for your last question, it will be on a case by case basis & if they have availability for that job as well too..

So if im not shortlisted means the application status will reflect as unsuccessful or does it gets stuck at IN PROCESS? and usually how long does it takes for them to contact you?

Anyway.. as for the resume, i uploaded my resume and did the online resume thing oso..i reflected my graduating month already.. so i hope i did collectly for my academic part..

Hmm.. at least there's a case by case chance ..so i hope thy'll allow me to go for an interview at least.. cos to be rejected even without an interview chance for me to speak up is really depressing...

Really hope i'll get a chance man! and can u kindly shed some light on the training inside cda?

if you're unable to get a job with the SCDF, perhaps you may wish to join the CDAU which is a volunteer scheme which has the various vocations of the SCDF & please refer to the SCDF website for more info..

the process of waiting may take some time as there may be others who applied for various vocations as well so patience would be much appreciated..

hi..im looking actually more for a career with the scdf.. but im considering CDAU...cos im rejected off my application.. haiz... im not sure what is the problem..but im thinking it's due to my ippt.. cos i have not updated my ippt results. So im goin to try again 6mths later..

im really interested in the career.. Hope any bros here can advise me on some pointers on my application so i stand a higher chance.. im definately goin to train hard and pass my ippt at least, 6mths later. But just like to ask.. as my degree is actually with SIM UOL.. so do i have to get like a 2nd upper at least, to be granted a chance for interview?

QX179R SG

do visit the SCDF website if you're keen to join as a CDAU..

and as for your cert, it doesn't matter but if you wish to go for a much higher learning then by all means go ahead..

Blitzzace2 SG
