A fire broke out this morning (Apr 14) at a car workshop located
at 24 Defu Lane. The fire was brought under control by the SCDF
within 30 minutes. Thankfully, no one was hurt in the
incident.
A spokesperson for the SCDF told STOMP:
"At 2:00 am, SCDF was alerted to a fire involving the contents of a
car spare parts workshop.
"When SCDF personnel arrived, they found the workshop
(approximately 20m x 20m in area) containing automobile spare
parts, oil and grease products on fire.
"SCDF deployed water jets and prevented the fire from spreading to
the neighbouring units. The fire was brought under control within
30 minutes.
"The damage was largely confined to the front portion and roof of
the workshop.
"No one was injured in the fire."
