Three paramedics were injured after a man who reported to be
unwell assaulted them.
The SCDF received an ambulance call on a case at Block 685C Jurong
West Central 1 at around 230 this morning.
Upon arrival at the flat, the SCDF says the man was aggressive and
verbally abusive towards them.
He then clawed one of them, resulting in a 4-centimeter cut on one
of the paramedic¡¯s neck.
The man went on to kick the ambulance driver and another
medic.
Relatives of the man who were at scene managed to restrain him from
further attacks.
SCDF says the man locked himself in the flat after the incident,
which prompted the firefighters to set up a life pack and rescue
net as a precautionary measure.
The man was later apprehended by the Police.
SCDF says anyone found assaulting public servants could be jailed
up to four years and fined.
