Civil defence competition brings regional experts to
Singapore
SINGAPORE: The 15th Civil Defence Skills Competition saw
regional professionals in the emergency services coming together in
Singapore to compete.
The competition on Friday pushed the participants to test their
physical and mental skills.
Singapore said the competition also helped to foster new
friendships, and enabled the sharing of best practices.
This is particularly helpful during regionally coordinated rescue
missions such as during the cyclone Nargis disaster in Myanmar and
the Sichuan earthquake in China last year.
