Hi guys, as the title says, I've already received the enlistment
letter. I will be enlisting on the 9th of september, into SCDF. Its
weird that they gave me the letter this early.
Well I have a few queries to ask.
1) I heard there is no such thing as confinement period in SCDF,
whereby I'm allowed to have my first book-out on the first friday.
Is this true? Does this apply to both PTP and BRT?
2) I'm malay, for all muslim is it ok if you give me some
feedbacks for stuff like friday prayers, and normal prayers. Also
on the 9th of september, is also the ramadhan month, has anybody
experience PTP or BRT during the ramadhan fasting month ?
3)I'm short sighted, I understand that I have to wear a black frame
spectacle into camp. Also does me being short sighted have any
effect on the chances of me getting into a fire fighter
vocation?
4)What is your overall experience in SCDF like?
5) other things/ advice that you may want to add?
Thats all for now, may post more questions as the days goes by.
Please help me!!
Thanks in advance.
