SINGAPORE: A factory worker died in an explosion at Gul Road in
Tuas on Wednesday.
Police cordoned off the area around the factory after the
accident at 3pm.
A caller to the MediaCorp news hotline said he saw smoke coming
out from the factory.

Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) confirmed there was an
explosion which appears to have originated from a tank that is two
metres wide and three metres high.
The tank was used to contain tar.
