dawen SG

nope how abt yck??? have msg u see ur mail box Very Happy

SMRT Buses SG

Its not compulsory to bring tapes to write your name on & stick them to your belongings but its advisable to do so, the instructors will ask you to label your food tray as well as the mug & as for the clothes, you can write you name on the small label found at the back of the clothes

SMRT Buses SG

No. 2 hairstyle is a little bit longer but just a little little bit only & actually all the vocations has its pros & cons so it all depends on which you like the most & as for me, I just love my medic vocation & regarding pay, with skills allowance in together with you basic allowance, my pay is around $500 & as for which vocation has the most pay that I'm not to sure liao

SMRT Buses SG

Smart 4 is actually the blue colour uniform that you'll be issued on the day of your enlistment together with all the other stuffs & you'll be wearing that most of the time during your recruit period

Haha, dun haf to address me as SMRT lah, my name is Jufri so you can call me Juf or Jufri...yup, for my intake I've received my enlistment notice together with a letter from the SCDF but there might be changes now which I'm not too sure...yup, there's a gym at BRTC (place where you'll "hang out") during your recruit period but there's not many gym sessions unfortunately.

Last but not least, regarding the food issue, is now on catered basis so don't worry, unlike the old times of NS whereby they hire their own recruits to do the cooking & I can't imagine how'll it taste like Rolling Eyes

Juf wat will we be learning during ptp? army ptp got some lesson to prepare them bmt than have marching and drills we have them also???

thanks ya Very Happy

sockjordan SG

Juf! looking forward to the uniform!! Mr. Green whats BRTC stands for? How long is it? whats the usual routine from first day to posting of vocation ands how longs is the period before we go to our posted vocation? Can we select our vocation?? than whats the duration of the on and off shift?

SMRT Buses SG

PTP simply means Physical Training Phase whereby most of the time is all the physical training to get you fit & yup, there'll be marching drills as well too...

SMRT Buses SG

BRTC = Basic Rescue Training Centre whereby you'll be there for around 2-3 months for your recruit period...first day nothing much actually, just the normal admin stuff (e.g issuing of uniforms, stuffs, haircut, etc)

Vocation can be selected but however, the final choice still lies with the upper personnel & don't place hopes to high as you might not get into the desired vocation that you'll want so play safe by choosing another as a stand-by...the duration for the posting to your confirmed vocation as well as the duration for the on & off shift depends really on which vocation you'll get but rest assured they'll inform you once you're in the confirmed vocation so don't worry Cool

sockjordan SG

hey man Jur possible to get posted into dog handling unit? or thats for FT only?? Mr. Green

SMRT Buses SG

Nothing is impossible but you've got to go thru an interview 1st & the choice still lies with the interviewer as well as the upper authorities so its still wise to have an alternative choice just in case Rolling Eyes

surferpunk SG

which station are you in? which moc intake eh?

SMRT Buses SG

I'm in Changi Fire Station (Stnn 22) & am from the 101st intake Cool

surferpunk SG

Ohh... I was supposed to go Changi Fire Station in the first place but was too far from my home. After some reshuffling, I was posted to become a hospital medic!! My attachment is 2-3 weeks at Woodlands Fire Station after which I go Tan Tock Seng Hospital!! Btw, I'm from the 103rd intake.

SMRT Buses SG

Actually being posted to station is much more fun & can apply what you've learnt during your MOC course aka hands on but since you've posted to be a hospital medic, be sure to make the best out of it Cool

surferpunk SG

SOOO TRUEE!!! I got attached to Woodlands Firestation. The environment, the people and the calls are so lepak!! Best sia!! always get the lame calls. Only yesterday got the lorry incident. That one also shiok!! I want to stay station sia!! Anybody wanna swap?

SMRT Buses SG

Most of the time you'll encounter those lame calls like fever, stomach pain, etc but when you're gonna get those real emergency cases is anyone's guess Rolling Eyes
