The officers searched the water and the coastal areas.
And just before 8am, they found the body of a 26-year-old woman
floating near the river banks, close to the construction area of
the Marina Bay Integrated Resort.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have classified the case as an unnatural death.
In separate incidents on Thursday morning, the SCDF managed to
rescue a 39-year-old woman from the Kallang River by using a life
buoy and rescue lines.
And at Boat Quay, members of the public helped to pull a
20-year-old man out of the water.
Both of them have been sent to the hospital for treatment.
