HDB neighbor renovating starting very early morning

AuntAnn SG

The constructor starts their renovation very early in the morning in my neighboring unit (before 7). The family were waken up and could not go bace to sleep after that. I have talked to the constructor politely a few times, but not really helpful. Doesn't the permit only allow them to start at 9?

This has gone on for couple of weeks already and is driving me crazy. I cannot take it any more. Any idea what I can do? Thanks.

call the cops, call the NEA (they do noise pollution), call the BCA (some code of building conduct), call HDB, call the town council... make sure you keep notes of who you called, the officer who took the call and what was said

and make sure you have proof like pictures with a time-stamp of their starting work...

Do you have a sister who makes excellent pretzel?

That aside, do take some pictures and some sort of proofing that they did start work at 7am...

Consolidate effort with ur other neighbours to launch a complain to NEA, Police, MP, etc etc etc...

I'm sure that in the HDB, u are not the only one getting affected...

the contractor must be real hardworking to wake up at 5am, leave home at 6am and start work at your neighbour place before 7am.
