If I am not mistaken, South Korea has provisions for
conscientious objectors of military service due to religious
reasons. Given our smaller population, it is not feasible. Still, I
feel that treating the JWs like common crooks isn't the way to go.
Surely there are better ways to handle them.
On the whole, we should give them credit for willing to go to
prison for the sake of their religious beliefs. That is what I call
martyrdom.
