What position to seek after graduation from ACCA?

Does anyone know what position to seek after graduated from ACCA?
Had passed paper 1 and 2 in ACCA and I have a local dip that is not accounts related. Am wondering what position and salary should i seek after graduating from ACCA? What is CPA and CFA? Kindly advice

Cfa is not for you. You should just go for cpa if you wanna be an accountant. Cfa is for people who are in the finance side who wanna be a broker, trader, etc

u can work yrself up as an accountant, senior auditor or even partner, u can also get a job in banking n finance sector etc, the options r rather wide…try to opt for the deg at the end of lvl 2. Im also not fr acct background but taking this cert as an backup but currently stuck at lvl 3…cpa is a title where u can apply for it after finishing this course coupled with a few yrs of exp, but I think theres a yrly membership fee…cfa is more for banking finance, securities firm n insurance, lvl 1 is easy but 2 is damn tough even harder than lvl 3, lot of my friends had given up after a few attempts…u can demand up to 4, 5 k after the acca with some exp. if u r very smart n clever, u can even go for the soa, with this cert, u r the king. acca however is not recognized in gov sector.
do take note u need to be deg holder to sit for the cfa exam.

jlowbog: This is informative. I did opt in for the oxford brookes degree. Does local govt recognize this degree? So why do i need cpa and cfa for when i have graduated from acca by then? And u mention that I can demand about 4.5k with some exp after ive graduated, what kind of position is it? What's soa? Why am I a king after it?

Thisisarah…there is going to be some changes to the CPA scheme come July 13.

Since you are currently a student (I presume), you will need to know the transitional arrangement…

You may wish to try Accounting related job in Big Four as reflecting that you have worked in Big Four in your resume will be very useful for your next job. Good luck to you Smile

If u completed Acca without CPA status, which would in future be known as certified chartered accountant, u will not be a Singapore qualified accountant (I.e no accountant status). U will still be able to do up the accounts with ur acca qualifications. But I guess it's beneficial to get certified w CPA status if u wish to be employed in Singapore. Having said that, it all depends on ur employer's preference to the qualifications u hold.
