thats true.....thats why when u apply for govt jobs, the no. of questions are exhaustive...ranging from how many As and Os...and they also take your NS ranking seriously...u must at least be an army officer if u r vying for higher management positions..

of course...if u r well connected to prominent families....u r made for life in the public sector...

If doing accounting, should work in the big 3 or big 4 or big 20, whatever number it is now.

private sector is best becos of more flexibility and less politics. If u work in small CPA firms, you can learn everything directly from the partners – taxation, accounting, audit and secretarial. After a few years of experience, you can change job and specialise in your interest.

it depends whether you are the cost centre or profit centre. If you work in CPA firms, you are considered a profit centre so work is very stressful but can learn a lot. After a few years, you can venture to MNC to work then you are considered a cost centre and you enjoy better pay and benefits.

In public sector, if you got nothing to show, its ok, because everyone else is no different.

Accounting has alot of potential in both private and public sectors. Accounting by nature is instable due to its fluidity. seemed you have a preference.. and in view of the fluidity, a stable peaceful mind is essential for an ever youthful mind of better accounting, so....

No, we buy with our own salary. In my 2 and 1/2 years with a filthy rich MNC, all I got was a polo tee, not my size somemore.
