Running A Tuition Centre At Home

I have heard of tutors conducting tuition at their own homes and I am curious to find out how lucrative it can be. What will it take for parents to send their kids to the tutors house for tuition? How do I even start to gather students to come to my house and conduct tuition? I specialise in teaching primary school subjects and I prefer to teach at the comfort of my own home.

1. You have solid reputation around the neighbourhood or region, edu credentials esp. in the specialized areas i.e. PhD in Maths, Physics, etc., Ex-MOE, Awards i.e. Maths Olympiad...etc..

2. Personality - Very Patient, kind, gentle, honest, SAFE....

3. Teaching Methods: Track records of failed students who scored distinctions..

4. Conducive home environment...Landed property or Condo with good classroom facilities..

5. Pricing.....goes with your specialty and reputation.....

6. Network.....but first, build your reputation and develop yr teaching methods...

The above analysis is using marketing approach towards setting up home-based tuition business..u shd seek better advice from many tutors in other threads.......
